ROGERSON COLLEGE.png

Rogerson College offers several full-time training pathways designed for students with a passion for dance — from structured programs that provide an alternative to mainstream schooling, through to elite pre-professional training in classical ballet and contemporary dance. Our programs are built to nurture technically trained, artistically expressive dancers with the discipline, guidance and industry preparation required to pursue professional careers in dance.

Our Approach

At Rogerson College, we believe that elite training must be paired with care, structure, and long-term vision. Our programs balance:

  • High-level technical and artistic training

  • Individualised guidance and mentorship

  • Academic support and flexibility

  • Physical wellbeing, resilience, and sustainability

  • Clear pathways aligned with industry expectations

Every dancer’s journey is unique, and entry into full-time training is guided by readiness, suitability, and long-term development — not pressure or expectation.

Young Artists Program (Years 5–12)

Alternative Schooling + Weekday Dance Training

The Young Artists Program is designed for students in Years 5–12 seeking an alternative to mainstream schooling while pursuing their passion for dance. This full-time pathway combines weekday training with academic options, supporting students to build strong technique, discipline and confidence in both classical and contemporary dance.

Families also have flexibility — students may continue evening classes at Rogerson Dance or remain with their home studio for night training if preferred.

Future Artist Program
Full-Time Training in Ballet or Contemporary (Years 5+)
The Future Artist Program is a full-time training pathway for dedicated dancers from Year 5 onwards who are ready for a more intensive and structured program. Students choose their primary training focus — Classical Ballet or Contemporary — allowing them to follow the pathway that best aligns with their strengths, interests and long-term goals.
This program develops technically strong, artistically expressive dancers through high-level classes, conditioning and performance preparation, while still providing academic support and guidance to ensure students can balance training alongside education requirements. From Year 10, students also have the option of completing a nationally recognised qualification, the Certificate IV in Dance (CUA40120), delivered in partnership with the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD).

ProTrack Program
Pre-Professional Training in Ballet or Contemporary (Year 10+)
The ProTrack Program is our most advanced pre-professional pathway, designed for serious senior dancers (typically Year 10 and above) who are working toward vocational opportunities and professional careers in dance. Students choose their primary training focus — Classical Ballet or Contemporary — allowing them to specialise in the pathway that best suits their strengths, aspirations and career direction.
ProTrack delivers elite technical training, conditioning and performance preparation within a professional, industry-aligned environment. Dancers are supported to refine artistry, resilience and audition readiness, with individual guidance and structured goal planning throughout the year. Students may also complete the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Dance (CUA40120) in partnership with the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD), supporting career development alongside intensive training.

A Pathway With Purpose

Not every dancer will choose — or need — full-time training, and that is entirely respected. Rogerson College pathways exist to support dancers only when the timing, readiness, and goals align.

Some dancers progress gradually from studio classes into Emerging Artists, and later into full-time programs. Others remain happily in part-time training while pursuing different goals. Every pathway is valued.

Supporting Each Dancer’s Potential

At Rogerson College, our commitment is to provide exceptional training, genuine care, and thoughtful guidance — empowering dancers to grow with confidence, artistry, and resilience, wherever their dance journey may lead.
